REGISTER NOW! DATE: Saturday, May 15, 2010 LOCATION: The Falls Golf Club -- 1170 Turtle Creek Drive -- O'Fallon, MO 63366 FORMAT: 18-hole, four-player scramble. Players are encouraged to sign up as a team representing their hockey association, club or organization. Individual entrants are also welcome and we will place you on a team. SCHEDULE: ENTRY FEE: $100 per player or $400 per foursome** (includes greens fee, cart, beverages, dinner and tee prizes). All proceeds to benefit the BMMSF. AWARDS & SPECIAL EVENTS: Awards will be presented to the top 2 teams in two separate flights. Closest-to-hole & Longest Drive prizes will also be awarded. NEW-Commerce Bank Hole-in-One contest! On behalf of the McKenna family, we cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Bill Mckenna Memorial Golf Classic, to be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at The Falls Golf Club in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Bill had a wide variety of interests in life, but nothing in the sporting world excited him more than the game of hockey.
He enjoyed every aspect; whether Bill was playing, refereeing, or working as an off-ice official for the St. Louis Blues, his enthusiasm and passion for the game was readily apparent to all who came in contact with him.
His devotion to family, friends, and most notably children was exceptional: more than a decade after his passing, heart-warming and often comical stories of Bill and his positive influence are still told by people throughout the St. Louis community.
Although we are lucky to have been part of Bill’s immediate family, we are privileged to share the memories of his life with so many who considered him part of theirs.
The Bill McKenna Memorial Scholarship Foundation is something that he would have been extremely proud–and humbled–to have named in his honor.

ABOUT THE MCKENNA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION
Goals and Objectives:
1. Recognize and encourage studious ability and skilled academic performance among the children or legal guardians of MIHOA members.
2. Encourage personal growth through participation in extracurricular activities within the civic and academic community.
3. Recognize intellectual growth and achievement.
4. Provide fiscal support that eases financial burden while encouraging the achievement of post-secondary education in college or vocational school programs.
Those who knew Bill will attest, the effort to raise money for academic assistance while encouraging positive involvement in youth hockey is fitting commemoration for one who did so much to enrich St. Louis hockey.

About Bill McKenna
A founding member of the Kirkwood Youth Hockey Association in 1968, Bill McKenna was active within the many facets of St. Louis hockey until his death in 1997. Bill had the right attitude about youth sports. His optimism and sportsmanship were as much evident in his enjoyment of the game as in the positive mark he made upon St. Louis hockey. As a veteran referee, Bill didn't just enforce the rules. He also encouraged the integrity of the game. Most of all, he took the welfare of his players to heart: truly the “Referee of Referees”! Over the years, the Missouri Ice Hockey Officials Association (MIHOA) has been a principal donor to The Bill McKenna Scholarship Fund. Through continuing fund raising efforts and contributions from individuals and organizations, Bill's contribution to St. Louis hockey – both on and off-ice – is honored through the academic assistance his fund offers to Missouri students.
