History

The San Gabriel Valley Foundation for Dental Health was founded in 1996 and began treating children in July of 1997. The Foundation is a community based dental health clinic working in collaboration with the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Adult Education division (Dental Assisting Department) to provide dental care for children (2 – 14 years of age) of working, low-income families who do not receive dental care due to lack of insurance and funds. The clinic is staffed by paid and volunteer dentists and hygienists as well as dental assisting and hygiene school students. It has been through the big hearts of our volunteers, the donations of many charitable minded institutions and people, as well as the support of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Adult Education Division and the commitment of the foundation’s board members that have made it possible for us to provide dental services to over 1,000 children last year.
 
Now we are asking for your support. On October 1, 2009, we are hosting our eleventh annual “Put a Smile on a Child” golf tournament. We would be honored and grateful if you and your friends would sponsor this worthy cause by participation in our golfing event. Please mark the date on your calendar. 
You have been working too hard! Cross off the day and get ready for some
fun on the golf course with your friends.
We encourage you to form your own foursomes. Single entrants will be paired
with others to make a foursome.
