We are proud to announce we are returning to Austin this summer to host the second annual Tee it up for Cole P. Golf Tournament. The purpose of the tournament is to bring together generations of former UT athletes and the community to raise funds for other former UT athletes in need through the newly established foundation, Horns Giving Back.
The Tee it up for Cole P. Golf Tournament started in 2009 to commemorate the life of Cole Pittman. Pittman, a sophomore who had played on defense in 23 games in two seasons at Texas, was killed in 2001 in a tragic early morning car accident as he was returning to school from his family's home in Shreveport, LA.
Former Longhorns attending in 2009 included: Mike Adams, Rod Babers, Kwame Cavil, Josh Graham-Chapman, Tony Jeffery, Juan Kemp, Stevie Lee, Will Matthews, Maurice McCloney, Wane McGarity, Cosmo Palmieri, Chase Pittman, Cory Redding, Derrick Scott, Kasey Studdard, Marcus Tubbs, Winfred Tubbs, Roy Williams and Selvin Young
